On a recent trip to Oregon we found a new source for lavender. The Portland farmers market (located in four different areas of the city depending on what day of the week it is) hosts a variety of different local merchants and their goods. You can find everything from specialty cheeses, to the most perfect chantrelle or lobster mushrooms, delicious baked goods, herbs, flowers and on and on. We strolled past the Sundance Lavender Farm booth, and couldn't help but stop and enjoy the wonderful smells. Aside from offering the most basic products, they also make a really, really tasty lavender-blueberry jam.
